FAQs About Cat Boarding

If you are preparing to travel without your cat, it’s only natural to be concerned about the care your cat will receive while you are away. Our team at Plaza Veterinary Hospital understands that you may be nervous about leaving your cat at a boarding facility like ours, so to set your mind at ease, we have provided the answers to some of the questions we receive most often.

How will my cat be cared for at your cat boarding facility?

When you board your cat with us, our expert animal caregivers will ensure that all their needs are met. We feed our animal boarders on a schedule and check on them to make sure that all is well. We can administer medication if required. Even if your cat seems nervous at first, we promise they will soon feel right at home with our professional boarding environment. You can even call our team to receive updates on their wellbeing if you start to miss them too much.

Do I need to book a spot in advance?

Our cat boarding facility has limited space, so we are only able to offer a certain number of spots. Because of this, we do recommend that you reserve a place for your cat in advance, especially if you are planning to travel during a holiday weekend or popular vacation time.

Does your facility have vaccine requirements?

Yes. We require all cats staying in our hospital to be current on their vaccine schedules, both for their safety and for the safety of all the other cats boarding with us.
