Our referral system allows you to access the services of an emergency veterinary hospital when your pet needs urgent care.
All patients deserve to receive the care they need in an emergency situation, and furry patients are no exception. If your pet is ill or injured and you do not feel comfortable waiting until normal business hours, an emergency veterinary hospital is the solution. Here at Plaza Veterinary Hospital, we have been caring for pets in the Burlington, North Carolina area for more than 35 years. Our referral system allows you access to an emergency veterinarian who will make it a priority to address urgent health care concerns.
There are several situations in which we recommend involving us to refer you to an emergency veterinary hospital. In addition to sustaining an injury where there is bleeding or potential for internal bleeding or a broken bone, we suggest calling us if your pet is having difficulty breathing, is coughing constantly, has a distended or bloated abdomen, is unusually restless or anxious, is having difficulty moving or walking, has vomited more than two or three times, or is extremely lethargic. In addition, if there is anything unusual about your pet’s behavior that concerns you, don’t hesitate to contact us.
We believe in giving the best possible care as any emergency veterinary hospital would, while giving you all the options available for the care of your beloved pet. We provide the information you need to make an informed decision about how to proceed. We do not pressure you into expensive treatments because we understand that, ultimately, it is your decision. If you have any questions or concerns about your pet’s health, don’t hesitate to contact us.
